La Bohème is a four-act opera composed by Giacomo Puccini that premiered in 1896. The design aesthetic follows the bohemians as they struggle to survive in Paris. Architectural lines and arches inspired by Parisian buildings are combined with abstract shapes onstage, creating a visual world that reflects both the city and the artists’ imagination.
