SHENANDOAH MUSIC SUMMER THEATRE
Waitress follows Jenna, a gifted pie maker working in a small-town diner who feels trapped in an unhappy marriage. When an unexpected pregnancy pushes her to imagine a different future, Jenna finds hope through baking, friendship, and the possibility of independence. The design is inspired by the concept of food as a love language, using the diner as both a literal and emotional space of care, connection, and resilience. The world of the show draws from slightly modernized diners, featuring rounded counters, turquoise tones, and soft circular shapes.
