Clarence Brown Theatre - The Jenny Boyd Theatre
The play follows the estranged Lafayette siblings as they reunite at their late father’s old plantation house in Arkansas to settle his estate. The production was staged in the round, with the audience seated on all sides of the stage. The scenic design shows nature taking over the abandoned house and reflects its heavy history. The living room is filled with boxes, books, different pieces of furniture, and personal objects, showing years of accumulation and neglect.
